Terms and Conditions
All bookings accepted by BAKKIES BNB AND CONFERENCE CENTER are subject to these Terms and Conditions that are deemed to have been accepted in full by the Client/Guest. Payment of a Booking Fee also indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Booking of rooms or serviced units from BAKKIES BNB is not intended to confer possession on the Guest or to create the relationship of landlord and tenant between us and the Client/Guest. The Guest will not be entitled to any form of tenancy.
Reservations & Payment
Your booking is only confirmed on receipt of an emailed confirmation of booking following receipt of payment of the invoice amount. When a booking is made, 50% of the total invoice amount is required in advance to confirm the reservation. The balance (if any), of the invoice amount is to be paid 7 days prior to the arrival date. If we do not receive full payment by this time, the reservation may be cancelled and the deposit forfeited. The Client/Guest may be liable for the balance of the Charge and for any other costs involved in the attempt to re-let the serviced unit. When a booking is made less than 7 days prior to the arrival date, the full Charge is required to confirm the reservation. Guests wishing to extend their stay are required to give at least 7 days notice, subject to the unit or an alternative being available.
Payment must be made in South African Rand (ZAR) and must be clear of all bank charges, We accept the following methods of payment: Bank to bank transfer to our account, Visa and MasterCard. Under no circumstances will accommodation be provided until we have received cleared funds to cover the invoice amount. Failure to pay in accordance with the agreed terms of payment may result in suspension of accommodation. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at 4% above South African bank base rate and to seek payment in full for accommodation during the suspension period.
Rates and Charges
The Rates includes a cleaning service on week days, change of bed linen and towels once a week, utility charges and broadband connection and usage. Our minimum length of stay is 1 night, with no maximum. Use of Mini-bar contents is for guests account and will be invoiced and settled on the day of departure.
Only Guests specified by name at the time of booking by the Client/Guest may occupy the rooms or serviced unit. The Guest may not sublet. BAKKIES BNB AND CONFERENCE CENTER reserves the right to refuse admittance to the Guest if they are in breach of this condition.
Cancellations must be notified to us in writing. When notification of cancellation is received more than 60 days prior to the arrival date, all payments will be refunded after deducting a 10% administration fee. When notification of cancellation is received 14 days and more prior to the arrival date, a 50 % cancellation fee will be charged. When notification of cancellation is received less than 14 days prior to the arrival date, a 100 % cancellation fee will be charged. A change of arrival date or departure date by the Client/Guest may be treated as cancellation and re- booking, BAKKIES BNB AND CONFERENCE CENTER recommends that the Client/Guest insures against cancellation.
Arrivals & Departures
Units are available for occupation after 14h00 on the day of arrival; however keys are made available for collection during working hours (between 09:00h and 17:00h). Units must be vacated and keys returned by 10:00h on the day of departure. If there is a delay in vacating the serviced unit beyond 10.00h, a full day's rental will be charged to the Client/Guest.
Late arrivals; Arrivals after 19h00 if not arranged with management will result in an additional R150 being charged to the guests account
Keys will be provided for the rooms and are to be returned in line with the departure terms as above. For any keys not returned, there will be a R150 charge. If the Client/Guest loses or misplaces their keys during occupation and require assistance to gain entry, an additional charge of R50 will be made.
Broadband internet access is provided in the conference hall, dining room and some of the rooms. Although we will Endeavour to assist with any connection problems, BAKKIES BNB AND CONFERENCE CENTER accepts no responsibility for the inability to connect to this facility.
Property Use & Conditions
The Client/Guest is responsible for taking all reasonable care of their room and its contents. The rooms/serviced units and all equipment, utensils, furniture etc. must be left clean and tidy at the end of the Period of stay. No items may be removed from the rooms /serviced unit.
Except in the case of normal wear and tear the Client/Guest will be responsible for making good any damage to the serviced unit or its contents which has occurred due to negligence, willful damage or irresponsible behavior on the part of the Client/Guest or their visitors. Such damage must be reported to us without delay. In the event that breakages or damage are discovered, or extra cleaning required, after departure, we will notify the Client/Guest in writing within 7 days of departure, providing detail of the issues and an invoice for the cost of rectifying them. BAKKIES BNB AND CONFERENCE CENTER will not be held responsible for any personal injury, loss or damage to personal effects howsoever arising at the serviced unit or in the unit block or its grounds. Smoking is not permitted in the rooms or serviced units or communal areas. Pets are only allowed by prior arrangement with management.
Any complaints must be made in writing immediately to BAKKIES BNB AND CONFERENCE CENTER. We shall not have any liability for any complaint received after the completion of the period of stay.
